PSU recommendation please

Hi,

I am struggling to choose a PSU among the following 4...

1. Corsair RM850i
2. Corsair HX850i

3. EVGA G2 850W
4. EVGA P2 850W

All of them are tier 1 PSUs and RMi series seem to have solved issue in the origial RM series...difficult choice.

Corsair has a Corsair digital link...is it useful?

What system are you trying to power? If you're looking at 850W units, I'm guessing you've got SLI/Crossfire.

The EVGA G2/P2 units are made by Superflower and are very good. The price is similar to the Corsair units, which are also good units.

I don't know how long the Corsair warranty is, but the EVGA units you're looking at have a 10 year warranty, which is very good. EVGA's customer support is also supposed to be very good, although so far I haven't had to use it!

I am building 5820k+GTX970 SLI...


but just realised that 5820k + SLI will only work at x16+x8 mode...so not sure if I am getting anything from SLI...so 850W is kind of just for future proofing...

Corsair gives 7 years warranty I think...
