Hi guys,

This is my first post, and I have set up the following rig;

Asus P8H67M Pro
8GB 1333MHZ Ram
WD 1TB 7200 RPM
Asus 570GTX
I5 2500k 3.3GHz

I won't be doing any OC at this stage and probably none in the near future.

My current psu is a LC6650GP3 V2.3, and I'm a bit worried about this... Do you think that the PSU will take it or should I get a new one in the near future? If yes, what are your recommendations? In case I buy one I would like to leave some space for upgrades such as SSD and even a BD...

Thank you in advance for your responses.

well I recommend a 750w psu from a good brand such as,

Antec new truepower 750w.

Corsair HX750w.

this sort of wattage will allow for another GTX570 for sli.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer,

However do you think for my current setup at the current time I have enough? Also when I turn on my PC sometimes it turns on for like 2-3 seconds and then goes off, then back on again. I think that this may be due to the PSU being weak so the pc can only turn on when the HD is already spinning?

Thanks in advance,

Just googled that PSU.

650 Watt psu with only 38A on the 12v rail. I'm suprised that it powers up at all. Get a decent brand PSU before you even consider overclocking

My pc at the moment (built by ocUk) does the same, switches on for a few seconds then off and on again, it always has.
I believe its the motherboard doing a pre start up check before it fully powers up.
I read it on this forum a few weeks ago.
Nothing to worry about i think,

Thanks for all the answers, I will go ahead and buy a new PSU and a SSD as booot HD next month - should set me back around £200-250, I guess I will delay getting a monitor to a later stage and continue on the 42" lcd
