Hi,

I'm a bit out of the loop hardware-wise. Could someone recommend a PSU to go with the following parts:

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
MSI Z97-G43 GAMING ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Memory
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 WindForce 2X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Asus Xonar DS Soundcard
1xSSD
2xHDD
1xBR Drive
4 case fans

Cheers

Any quality 550w or above will be more than enough. Superflower tend to be the go-to manufacturer but OCUK are out of stock of the 550w version. Handily NZXT have one that's made by Superflower anyway. Their customer service is apparently pretty dire (search on these forums if interested) but as long as it doesn't fail (unlikely as it's a quality OEM) you'll be fine.

YOUR BASKET
1 x NZXT Hale Power 90+ 550W '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply £43.99
Total : £53.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Hey all. Just hyjacking the thread as i have pretty much the same question. I am after an 850w PSU, and i know that the superflower ones are loved on this site so i would like to know what people would choose between the Corsair HX850i and SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 850W?

Thanks ;)

Superflower everyday of the week. The new HX units arent as good as the original seasonic oem models from a few years ago.

Neither of them. Wait for the EVGA Supernova G2 850w to come back into stock. It's built by Superflower and based on their Leadex gold platform but comes with EVGA's whopping 10 year warranty.

I wouldn't touch a NZXT product with a bargepole. It may be a quality OEM but if it goes wrong you are screwed because NZXT has no UK/Europe support. See here and here.
