I am building a 2600K and 580 SLi rig but need some advice on what PSU would be the best to buy.
I am leaning towards enermax but I have read problems with their warranty system.
Can anyone give me some advice on what manufacturer offers the best warranty and best PSU for reliability?
Thanks and all replies are much appreciated.

Corsair are awesome, and for a pair of 580's you really need the Professional AX1200.

The HX1000 is good but is actually a pair of 500w's so you have to load balance it.

850W is a minimum, you might want more if overclocking and running your system on heavy loads for prolonged periods of time.

I don't really know about warranties, so I'm just going to suggest good PSUs.

The Corsair 1000HX has two 40A 12V rails (I think), I seriously doubt you would have to worry that much about rail distribution.

Go for a Corsair PSU. I have a low wattage one (VX450W) and it just keeps on going. Avoid the CX series however at they are not the same quality.

this is the cheapest good quality PSU that will do what you need:

He's building a 2600K rig with 580's SLi. What part of that made you think he was looking for something cheap to power it?
That is a decent PSU but it would be out of line in terms of quality compared to the other components he is going to be using. I'd say more than slightly out of balance for the budget in question. If I was spending that much and using 2 GFX cards of that power I would want nothing less than 80 Plus Gold certified.

He didn't say it was something cheap, he said it's the cheapest that would do the job.

There is a difference.
