Hello,

My EVGA T2 1000W Titanium packed in. I sent it back to Overclockers ... they have don't have any more in stock, and they don't know when they will be getting more in.

The only power supply they could give me at the minute was the Corsair HX 1000W Platinum. Would this be a good replacement for the EVGA?

Or should I just wait until they get more stock of the EVGA power supplies in.

There's a review of it here that may help you make a choice. One thing to take into consideration if you are tight for space is that it's 18mm longer than the EVGA at 200mm compared to the EVGA's 182mm. How old was your EVGA because if it's relatively new are they giving you a partial refund as well due to the Corsair being significantly cheaper?

Thanks for the link to the review of the Corsair PSU. The Corsair seems to be a good PSU as well.

My EVGA was 9 months old. They said if I took the Corsair PSU they would refund me the difference.

That's fair enough then. Go for the Corsair as it's a very good psu and also has a 10 year warranty. With all the damn miners buying up the large capacity psu's you may have to wait a while for something else. You could have RMA'd directly to EVGA though (UK RMA centre now) and got a replacement from them. Something to consider in future maybe.

Though there no guarantee even EVGA will have much stock of high end PSUs for RMA. :)
They won't have any stock if they are the same as Antec's RMA centre. Any top brands have mostly been wiped out of stock due to mining.

Antec HCP 1000w and 1300w are coming back into stock in our distribution hub next week, however our inbound stock is only 20% of the backlog of orders we have. We have more stock landing 2 weeks later, which again will not cover the total backlog. Our following shipments in September will clear all current backlog just about, and then October inbound stock is currently available for our customers/resellers/distributors to buy - this is how much the mining demand had caused our stock levels to be at critical.
