DFI Sli-DR
1GB GeiL Value PC3200
XFX 6600GT
*Enermax Noisetaker 600W

To :-

E4300
P5N-E Sli
2GB Geil Value PC6400
BFG 8800GTS 320MB
*Enermax Noisetaker 600W

Previous spec is being given to a friend but without the psu so either I need a cheap psu powerful enough to run my old rig or a cheap but more up to date psu to run my new rig. Im quite fond of Enermax as i've not had one problem with the noisetaker... I was thinking along the lines of :-

Enermax Noisetaker 370W EG375AX-VE(G) SFMA ATX2.0 PSU £44.64
Enermax Liberty 400W ELT400AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU £46.99 (I like the modular psu design).

Budget is probably the most important factor along with the psu's ability to power the spec satisfactorly.

Both of those PSUs are more than up to the task. I'd get the modular one as it's just a few quid more.

Yer, get the 400W, because its modular and he may want to upgrade some time in the future to dual core etc.

So would the 400W modular version be able to power either spec? If so it means which ever I find the best looking I keep and the other gets given away

Nah, I wouldn't use a 400 Watter on an overclocked C2D system with a GTS. Keep the Noisetaker and give away the Liberty.

As above, you would struggle to power everything especially overclocked.
