Ideally want it to be ATX 3.1 and work out the box with the new GPUS.

If I had infinite money I still wouldn't look for more than something like this, there's not much point:

I was in this position. I went for the Corsair HX1500i - direct from Corsair. It's ATX 3.1 and I believe they are built by Seasonic.


Corsair do a 1600w one but its an ancient ATX2.X standard. That would be my shout.

I have the NZXT 1500 Platinum as that comes with two 12V-2X6 connectors.

Mine came with one good 2x6 cable but one bad 2x6 cable however NZXT sent me a replacement.

+1 for the NZXT 1500 but frankly, you'll find it hard to go wrong with most of the top end PSUs. They're expensive for a reason

Yeah, its a great PSU but limited by being ATX 2.x I believe?

Probably a better purchase now is the HX1500i that I mentioned. ATX 3.1 PCI 5.1 compliant. Same icue features as above.... both really nice though!

Thanks! I came to this subforum looking for a decent PSU to pair with my new GPU. Ordered one of these, hopefully it will be good for the next 5+ years!
