PSU Required To Run Leadtek 6800GT

Was wondering what kind of power requirement would be needed to run a Leadtek 6800GT 256MB (AGP), the person would not be gaming, I thought possibly a Tagan TG330-U01 330W or Tagan TG380-U01 380W ATX2.0 would be fine.

Any other suggestions welcomed.

Hi jbloggs,

I'm pretty sure those cards have got relatively low power requirements (especially compared to some current high end cards) so you definitely wouldn't need anything beefier than those two.

Must say though, I've got no experience with Tagan PSU's so I can't advise you on whether you should buy either of those or not.

The 380w should be ok. The 330W may be ok - whats AMPs are on the +12v rail?

i've got a thermaltake 400w w/mine, it's been flawless

I think I would be inclined to go for the 380watt.

On the rig I've donated to my parents, there is an 6800gt + a P4 2.8ghz and two optical drives running on a 230w generic PSU. That is in the wisdom of a certain PC manufacturer. But works completely fine
