In the process of a gradual upgrade and have just bought a Z270 Gaming 5 Mobo into which I'll likely opt for the i5 7600K with a max of 16GB. I generally only run with one GPU and likely to max out at something like a 1070 or if I can stretch to it a 1080. Other than the usual gubbins of SSDs and Drives can you point me in the direction of a suitably rated PSU.

Only criteria I have is that its fully modular.

Ta in advance

A good quality 550w will be more than enough. Even with overclocking you will still have a couple hundred watts headroom. Either of these will see you good:-

My basket at Overclockers UK:

The pair of Bitfenix units are built by CWT. The 550w version has triple 12v rails and the 650w version has quad 12v rails. Each rail supplies power to specific groups so 12v1 is for Motherboard + Peripherals, 12v2 is for CPU, 12v3 is for GPU 1, 12v4 is for GPU 2 (450W and 550W models only come with GPU1). All models have a 7 year warranty. Review of the 550w version here.

The Superflower Leadex Gold 550w is a single 12v rail design with all of the 550w on it. It has a 5 year warranty. Review here.

The XFX XTR550w is a Seasonic built unit and is based on their G series range. It has a single 12v rail of 540w and has a 5 year warranty. Review here.
