Hi Chaps
Based upon my current spec, do you think my PSU(500W Enermax Liberty) is up to the job.
Everything appears stable with the exception of the +12V which drops to 11.58 whilst gaming. (still within 5% ATX spec). All voltage is at stock.
Having extensively read these forums, I'm starting to think that I might be running a bit close to the wind:confused:

Thanks Stulid
Don't really want to contemplate everything going pop
(At least not until I can afford to upgrade)
Just out of interest, what spec PSU would I need with a GTX 470 with rest of spec remaining same?

So a 600W PSU would be ok for a 470/480?
Sorry to labour the point but if I can avoid overkill, any money I save would help pay for the GPU.
Just out of interest, why Bequiet over other possible brands?

its mainly the price of that 600w psu at the moment, and bequiet are a well respected brand.

BeQuiet are good brand and there 600w unit is a good price point at the moment.

Corsair, Seasonic, Zalman are other good brands of psu.

Keep meaning to check my system with the new GTX 480 installed for power usage from the mains.

Does appear good value compared to the Dark Power 750W model.
It just doesn't seem like a massive increase from my current 500W unit.
But, if it will run a GTX480, that should see me a couple of years and save me £60 to boot.
