Hi there,

My Brother has 2 old school 8800 GTS video cards (640MB) in SLI and needs a new PSU. His current Hiper 580w makes all sorts of interesting, high pitched noises when he first boots up, so we figure its on its way out.

The question is, will the following supply be up to the job, I have the HX 620w version which I understand could power 2 8800 GTX's from previous threads ive read, so whats the verdict on this one, its currently at a very good price:

My bro has some concerns because he saw on the Nvidia site that a minimum of 750W is required for SLI but I think these are just generic guidelines.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Cheers,
Kribby.

that PSU is on par with your HX620, i would say its good enough to do sli, however please do check it has all the connectors you need as that im not sure about
