PSU seems dead.. am i missing something.

Have a new 1200w psu. building a new system.

need to flush the water loop, so connected just a single hard drive connector to it.. turn the psu on. nothing... fan on psu doesn't spin...

i hear the little 'crack' when i connect the power.. so i know its got juice..

am i missing something here?

Need to earth the green wire on the main 20 pin connector...
