I got a GTX 560 on Saturday and when I was playing Mafia 2 I heard a screechy sound from my pc. It was late so I just turned off the PC. On Sunday I started playing Crysis and heard it again, wasn't sure where it was coming so took the side of the case off and it appears to be coming from the PSU. Almost 100% sure it is coming from there.
I had a GTS 250 before and I didn't notice a sound before but I hadn't been playing many games for a while before I got the new GPU so noise may or may not have been there before I got the GTX 560.

This is my PSU:

I only got it a few months ago.

The noise isnt that loud but its loud enough to annoy me and also worry me slightly. What could it be caused by?

Coolermaster HAF 912 | Intel Q8300 @ 2.5GHz | 4GB DDR2 RAM | 750GB Samsung Spinpoint F3 | MSI Twinfrozr II GTX 560ti | Windows 7 HP 64 Bit | LG 1920 X 1080

The PSU should have no problem with your setup. I bet on a fan (video card or PSU fan). You can try MSI software to stress out the GPU and see if it's coming from there, or the power supply. The video card fans will produce some noise under stress.

The video card fans will spin up before the PSU fan.

Tried forcing VSync on, still got the noise when playing Crysis, Mafia 2 only made it when i had Physx turned on (vsync on or off), I turned physx off and never heard the noise again.
I have taken the side of the pc off and to me the noise seems to come from the psu, the psu and gpu are close though so that isnt 100% def. The PSU is only a few months old and the GPU i got on Saturday so still in warranty for both them just would rather not have to send them/ one of them back.

most likely coil buzz from the PSU, its not broken, its just when the gpu requires more power the PSU gives it but the frequencies travvelling through the PSU causes the transistors or something to buzz as they are just copper coils so they vibrate, could rma if it was bugging you that much,,,
