PSU suitable for upgrades?

I run an E6300, DS3, 7900GS, X-FI Xtreme Gamer, 2GB Geil ULL, 2 HDDs, 1 DVD drive on a Hiper Type M 580W PSU.
In the future I want to upgrade to quad core and 8800GTS. Is this PSU okay to do so?
It's been okay so far (had it 10 months so far) and doesn't seem to be wanting to blow any time soon. Can it handle my wanted spec or should I be safe and upgrade it with my next mobo? I'd prefer it if I didn't have to change it.

That PSU will be okay to power a Q6600 and a 8800 GTS, although after reading horror stories about it I would be constantly worrying in case it imploded.

I'm not worried about it as long as when/if it blows it doesn't take anything else out with it.
