I just purchased Thermaltake ToughPower 850W Modular Power Supply

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-063-TT

It says in the spec that it has Four PCI Express connectors for Multi-GPU Graphics Cards

I got it today, and i wanted to use it for 2 ATI HD4750 cards (crossfire) when i unpacked it i have noticed that the 4 PCI Express plugs, are 2 6pin and 2 8pin and the 2 graphics cards require 2, 6pin plugs (4 in total)

So im a little bit confused as to why it would say 4 PCI Express connectors when there different.

Please tell me if i have purchased the wrong PSU as im all new to this.

Thanks

not sure, but it might be that the 8 pin plugs are made up of a 6 pin block and a 2 pin block, unclip the 2 pin and you should be ok.

nah you definately have the right psu :)

check to see if the 8 pin leads have a bit that detatches making them in to 6 pin or contact thermaltake I am sure they will send you the leads you require I know corsair do.

Says it has 4 pci-express connections,

Either try and return it, or thermaltake should be able to send you some more cables out.

It has two 6pin connectors and two x 8pin to 6 pin converters, giving you the four.
6-pin PCI Express Connector X 2
8-pin to 6-pin PCI-E Connector X 2

Check you got the connectors, you might of just overlooked them.

You hit it right on the head, i overlooked 2 cables that converted the 2 8pin plugs back to 2 6pin plugs...
