Hi,

I'm looking for a good power supply tester. I know we cant mention competitor links but does any have any make/model tester I should be looking out for.

Ideally I'd like one that shows as much info as possible like show power consumption/quality under load, for not too much money :D

I had a quick search on Sunmoon PSU tester and saw a rack mount version. Ideally I'm looking for something more portable. Possible these things arnt available cheaply as I noticed some are in the thousands where I'm looking to spend under £100.

you can just use a cheap-ass multi-meter i managed to get one for about £5 from a particular high street elec store. THe PSU companies will normally give you the voltage rail layout on a sticker.

jump the PSU using the paper clip technique, and then test each rail one at a time, red of the multi-mtere to what you want to check, black to any black wire on the psu atx socket. just ake sure you set the correct settings on the meter; i did it wrong first time and kept shorting the PSU like a noob

just noticed that you want it to test power consumption, might be able to find one but prob not that cheap. also it won't be able to test under load

yeah might just get a xilence one for easy quick testing. I usually use a multimeter for general testing but it was the load testing that and total draw that was what Im really after.
