I’m new to pc building, and I’m looking to buy a mobo and a psu. The psu connection is 20+4 pin, but the mobo is just 24 pin. Is this compatible?
Yes, you just won't be using the +4, it’s an addition for different configurations.
Oh ok thxI think mattyfez misread somewhere along the line, looking at your motherboard you have a 24 way connector so connect both the 20 and the 4 to make 24
Oh come on I’m terrified nowI don't think i would plug any cables into that PSU. (jump to 17.00 in the video)
So is my pc gonna blow up lol
Oh okThey were running it at 140% load and it failed safely... They then ran it again and it popped.
Not good but they were torturing it.
Also considering I’m only using a 7700xt and an i5 12400f so the load isn’t too heavyThanks guys- I returned it am a now deciding what psu to get. I’m on a budget, so is the gigabyte ud-750gm any good? I’ve heard it’s not explosive and good for the price, and I’ve also heard good things about the Corsair rm750e, except it can be a bit noisy. any other recommendations under £90?
I have three options- what should I go forAlso considering I’m only using a 7700xt and an i5 12400f so the load isn’t too heavy
Any other opinions?Ok thanks
