In the process of spec'ing up a machine for my m8. I picked all the hardware, he picked the case. A cheap one to keep costs down.. Had to be on a budget of £800 delivered so here's what I have so far.

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £89.95
Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - OEM £107.49
Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £126.95
Scythe Ninja Plus Heatpipe CPU Cooler £31.95
X-Blade Gaming Midi Tower Case - Silver (No PSU) £28.95
Note: all those prices are +vat
That lot comes to around £730ish +delivery (including vat)
He's using his own Hdd's and DVD-RW, kb and mouse, so we just need to decide on a PSU to power that setup.
