PSU upgrade needed?

Hello there. Firstly I'll give my current specs:

Athlon 3000+ skt 939
Antec truepower 380w
Gigabyte k8nfp
radeon 1800xt.

I'm looking to upgrade my processor to a athlon 3800+ x2 skt 939 and then overclock it to whatever i can get. My first question is; is it worth getting a 4000+ x2 with 1mb cache instead of the 512kb with the 3800+? Do they both overclock to similar levels?

Secondly, would i be correct in saying that i would need to change my psu? I was thinking about getting a 450W Corsair VX.

The emphasis is on budget here. Under £100 for processor and psu.

if the psu you havenow is runing everythig and onlything you changing is the cpu then i would think trhat your current psu would be fine to run that also.

I think i will order the 3800+ x2 from overclockers and see how my power supply deals with it when i start over clocking.
