I currently have a 550w Qtec psu .. ( Yes kill me now )

My specs are :

AMD x2 4200 + stock
1 gb Ocz Gold 3200
HIS 1900xt also at stock
2 HardDrives
2 Dvd writers
And a fancy Led Fan :p

But after reading some threads ... the Qtec psu's aint the best psu to have ..

If i upgraded to say a 700 watt Seasonic M12 which ive been looking at, Will i get a performance boost, coz my pc aint been doing well in the fps department since i upfraded my gfx form a X850 .. So ive been thinking it was the PSU not getting to power to all the right places.

Will there be a perfromance boost if i upgrade ?

Not really a performance boost, but a good stable/reliable/system/etc which can have a sort of same effect ;)

& for that system you don't need 700Ws unless planning to CrossFire/SLi. 500W PSU should do, e.g. Corsair HX 520W :)

/waits for the 'shame -on you you've got a Qterc' posts...

I'd say go for the bigger seasonic as will last a few upgrades whereas a 500w may be fine for now but possibly not when deciding to go sli or xfire in future.

Thats what i was thinking.. might be thinking getting a DX10 card later on next year

All depends if u get payed right next week :p

Silly Argos been messing my Overtime pay up
