Gents,

I am going to be replacing my Corsair CX600M PSU after Christmas due to the fact it cannot handle my system, I was getting Kernel Power 41 system failures so have had to step all my OC's back.

I want a fully modular PSU with enough headroom for it to be able to run x2 GTX 780's as I will be going SLI by May/June.

I have these components in my system

8320
GTX 780
x2 SSD's
x1 HDD
x4 Peripherals
x6 fans
Screen

Under £130 for the budget, as for what brand, I'd like Corsair but I don't mind exploring other options.

So far I have this in mind -

YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair RM Series RM 850 '80+ Gold' 850W Power Supply (CP-9020056-UK) £119.99
Total : £129.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

No I'm going to be getting probably an i7 maybe an i5 after the advice you gave me on the bottleneck.

I run my 780's from a Corsair 760i and it never goes over 500w so I think anything around 750-850 should do you fine :)

Edit: that superflower that Martini linked looks nice for the price too, just check your case can accommodate a longer PSU.

I'll have to see what prices the i's are in comparison to the non i's, what's the difference?

Ta Martini, an i7 is preferable due to the video editing I do.

It's just some digital jargon that let's you monitor your PSU in realtime and regulates voltages. The prices for the i's seem silly tbh. I don't remember paying that much.

Yep, the PSU was old when it was installed first time I made my build. Will be fine for wep browsing but can't handle my system at full load. Since I stepped the OC's back it has be fine, not one power failure. The OC's were stable so they only issue left is the PSU.

Going to donate it towards my sons build.

fair enough, maybe its power has degraded over time, the ax760s (and i versions) have great reviews, although have different oems, non i versions are seasonic and i versions are flextronics
