Not my case but is this PSU upside down?

That's what I thought. It's in the right orientation for the top of the case but should be flipped upside when installing it at the bottom of the case?!?

Heatsink certainly is the wrong way. Fan should be aiming the airflow to the rear case exhaust fan. Not vertically.

What's wrong with having it vertically? Surely convection would only help the airflow through the fan and out the top of the case?

And by consequence, where would it be drawing it's air from primarily? The top of the GPU.

Yes convection will be making air rise anyway, but your fans should always ben placed in such a was as to minimise heat from accumilating in one place.

Cases with the PSU at the bottom are designed to have the PSU with the fan facing down just like it would be in the top. So no, it shouldn't be flipped upside.

And lot less danger of screw or something falling into PSU.
