hi guys

just a bit of advice please...
I thinking of purchasing a BFG 8800GTS, but I'm wondering if my PSU would be up for the job its a CoolerMaster 450w RealPower...

currently its running :-
Q6600(Stock)
Abit IP35-Pro
4GB Giel ULL
500GB Sammy SpinPoit
2 x Opticals
8400GS (to be re-placed by 8800 GTS)

Currently with the setup above there's no probs at all..

I'd also be interested in knowing this; I'm looking at upgrading to an 8800GTS from my 1900XT, and I've got an AntecTruePower II 480W.

Could I be so rude as to resurrect and hijack this thread?

My setup sounds pretty similar to both of yours, but I would just like a little confirmation.

Tagan 430W
X1900 XT
E6300 @ 3ghz
2gb Geil DDR2 PC6400
200GB SATA
Gigabyte DS4
1x DVD drive

I want to replace the ATI with a 8800 GTS 512 or perhaps a GT, still giving that one some thought. I also want to throw another HDD in there (750gb SATAII). How does it look? I'm prepared to buy a new PSU, but I would obviously rather hold on to the cash if I can :D

PS Is a GTS really worth the extra dosh?
