These are specs i'm gonna try and go for when building my PC:

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB)

Asus P5B Deluxe Motherboard

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

HIS ATI Radeon X1950 Pro ICEQ 3 TURBO SILENT Heatpipe 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)

Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB 5000AAKS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

The PSU that came with my case is only 300W and from what i've read i'm probably gonna need a more powerful one. What wattage should I aim on getting?

Secondly are the specs any good? :p

It all looks pretty good although I might get an aftermarket cooler like an Arctic Freezer 7 or Tuniq Tower if it were me. I'd probably suggest a Corsair 520w for the PSU, it costs around £70 or so and is a very well built unit. :)

Very good. You could drop down to a 6300 with very little drop in real world performance. The 520W Corsair PSUs are back in stock, I'd go with one of them.

I'd get the connect3d x1950 Pro, some of the HIS ones have been faulty (not many though, but some). Plus you save some money.

Get a tuniq or sythe ninja as semi-pro waster says :D
