Evening all, would you recommend placing the psu fan upwards blowing into case or downwards to expel the air out of case, I heard arguments for both and wondered what your preference is and what is the best option for cooling and am I right assuming if it is placed facing upwards wouldn't this be blowing the hot air of the psu directly onto the gpu card?

I think the PSU fan sucks in the air rather than blowing it out. However it does blow out the air through the mesh at the back of the PSU.

if the psu is at the bottom of the case, and you have an air vent below it, then face the fan downwards, towards the vent

as wingzero30 says, the fan sucks air, so even if the psu is at the top of the case, then the fan should also face down.

i may be wrong, but the only time you face fan upwards, is if there is no air vent below it (at the bottom of the case)

Oh right cheers guys that's cleared a few things up, some valuable nuggets of info, just doing some research for my first build. :)
