Hi, I've recently purchased a bunch of cable braid and Molex blocks to make my own custom braided extension cables but I'm finding it difficult to find the wire I need to make the braid. I've seen a lot of people say use 16 gauge wire which isn't used as a standard in Britain anymore but I've converted it into 1.29mm wire. I'm finding it difficult to find a place where I can purchase it in this country (uk). Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to buy it from?

Why not braid the PSU wires directly?

When I made up a load of extension cables I got the wires from here. That silicon wire is lovely to work with and is nice and flexible. It's sold in AWG sizes too.
