Hi
I currently own a Corsair CX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
I'm wondering if there is a full modular one I can buy with short leads, for my ITX 250D case?

Also is there a difference in the amount of electricity you would use compared to like a 450w or a 750w psu?

One final things..is there 7-10cm sata leads I can buy?

I guess a SFX psu should have shorter leads due to the form factor. Quite a few come with adaptor plates so that they will fit into a space that normally takes a full size psu. Silverstone does short cable sets for some of it's own psu's but they have to be purchased seperately.

Now that I am back from the weekly shop I have done some digging around for you. The Silverstone short cable set has the code Silverstone SST-PP05-E and only cost's £20. You can find details on cable lengths and which psu's they fit (they only fit Silverstone models) on Silverstones website here.

A excellent source for psu information is the RealHardTechX psu database. Here I have selected the Silverstone category for you and you can cross reference the model numbers with the Silverstone website above and choose a psu. Pick carefully as Silverstone can be hit or miss as to whether they put out a good psu. The review links in the database will help you decide.

The cable lengths of the psu's are usually in the reviews and there are plenty of reviews in the psu database that I linked to. The cable lengths of the set I suggested are in the link I posted for them along with which models they fit. You just have to do some looking up for yourself.

This was the one I was thinking off buying...The leads I was going to buy a separate set of for £20...but I didn't see any where the length of the leads,
Overclockers used to sell the short leads package but for some reason they just sell the long leads for Silverstone,

think about the future and any possible upgrades..give yaself that little be extra
I did ask at the start if it matters if I got a 450 0r a 750 if they would deliver the same amount of power needed or would it be more costly with a 750w

There is a review of that psu here and it tells you the length of the leads on the second page. The lengths of the leads in the Silverstone SST-PP05-E short leads pack are in the link I provided in one of my earlier posts just as the link to the psu database in the same post would have led you to review links for the psu.

A psu will only draw the amount of power it needs. Just because it says 500w or 750w doesn't mean that it draws that amount all the time. My Seasonic 750w is currently pulling 62w from the wall while typing this.

I doubt there will be any leads in the length that I need as The motherboard is literally
sitting on the PSU....using a 250D case and the SSD/harddrives are right next to the PSU

Think it be best for me to get the leads made for me...But I'm still unsure what PSU to get,
