I have just purchased a EVGA 650G, when I plug it into my upgraded build the fans just spin a small bit and that's it, my old corsair 650tx works fine in this PC.

The EVGA works in a new low spec PC I've built straight away without issues. I'm currently replacing them again to see what the issues is but was wondering if anyone here has any ideas?

Many thanks.

not sure how good evga psu's are, but i know corsair have always been alright for me. mabe, although its the same watt, the evga just isnt outputting correctly?

hense it working witht he lower spec build?

im not sure, its just a guess though

Mobo is a gigabyte z77x d3h with N i52500k

Just tested it with an old gigabyte mobo, doesn't work with that either.

what graphics cards do you have in both systems ?

when you say the fans spin a little bit, does it continue spinning or just stop/shutdown ?

So I just got another one, and spent a bit more for the 750 as I know a few people that suggest it, this new one nowbdors the exact same.

It also works like the other one in a lower spec build. A friend of mine has the same mobo as me with a very similar build and has no issues.

Have you tried clearing CMOS? An overclock designed around a specific system will likely be unstable, maybe not even boot with a different PSU.

At the moment I haven't, but when I was first building the PC with the other PSU it was all a clean install with a new mobo and it didn't boot then.

Done all that, I even removed it from the case just left he CPU in obviously and tried booting it up that way, the exact same thing.
