PSU...?

I'm looking at the Corsair as a possibility at the moment. Only downside being that it's not modular. Also looking at the PC P&C 750 Silencer Quad, and possibly the Zalman 750 Heatpipe

Only reason I go for Tagan is because the RMA is based in the UK & has a fairly quick turnaround.

Tagan 700w BZ-Series Modular PSU, is the latest PSU they do & is also the mininum wattage they do now although OcUK not got that model in stock which is abit silly, I'm thinking of moving to one of those when I upgrade my PC around June time.

The Corsair have 5 years guarantee, but the RMA is based in California which puts me off as the shipping would be expensive for something as heavy as a PSU.

I think most brands are reliable, theirs always a chance that any PSU can go wrong no matter how good the brand is, just luck of the draw.

The Zalman gets my vote. Well it would, i have one. Excellent psu that is extremely quiet and efficient. Loads of modular cables and also has both 6 and proper 8pin (none of this 6+2 business) pci-e plugs.

Rocker. You certainly will not need 900w for a spec like that. I would say you could probably get away with the Corsair HX620. Why go with AMD for a gaming rig though?

I see, what would a 900w PSU be cababl of powering?

It wont be a gaming rig, just like to have a beast of a machine lol

I see.
Hmmm....im quite partial to Tagan as i have always had a tagan but i now hear a lot of people talking about these corsair ones

I think the 700bz is only dual rail whilst the 800bz is quad rail. Dude get a Tagan 800bz they are well worth the money! + you get loads of goodies with them. I don't think Overclockers sell them though.
