Have a brand new Corsair 850 hx , plugged in components....does nothing

Makes a whiney/whistling noise.... ideas>????

nope nothing stopping it,it doesnt even make an attempt at moving... it simply does nothing apart from making a noise...

Can you remove the main ATX cable and all other cables and just connect a fan to a molex and link out pins 13 & 14 on the main ATX connector (not counting the extra 4 pins).

What was wrong with your old PSU?

nothing, its in the rig im using at the moment, just building a brand new rig in time for BF3
