PSU

I have just built my new and first SLi rig, howver I am using what I thought was a good PSU (Hiper 630w).

Everytime I turn on my PC i am scared though, can anyone recommend an affordable PSU, i would really like one that you only have to plug in the things you need to make my case nice and tidy.

whats the problem with your current psu ?

the problems with hipers was a specific run of the 580w version that i remember.

if you still want a recommendation list the rest of your setup and whether you plan to sli/crossfire graphics cards in the future.

Hangon, I am sling x2 GTX 460's.

Is that an issue over 630w?

If we don't hear from him again but find a computer sized crater we'll know what happened.

I have a Corsair 1000W and it's brilliant. You only plug in what you want to use and I've found it very easy to tidy the cables, pricey though.

I think you mean Modular power supplies. They're the ones with the attachable cables

I don't think you'd need a 1000W corsair supply though

i wouldn't run an ocuk psu on that system.

630w will be fine for the sli & overclock.

how old is the psu ?

they draw 447 watts at stock. in future mark. 502 watts over clocked i say ur pushing it slightly. very little head room.
