is that any good? looks ok from the stats to me but i obviously know nothing

its for my a8-3870k. i was ment to buy on last month but kind of didnt

im hoping to overclock a little further than the 3.4ghz im at now as it gets a bit unstable if i try any further (im using a **** heap of a psu at the moment so i think that is the issue if im honest)

even if i cannot overclock further i want a more efficient psu for the 40 pounds mark

is that psu 550w peak or constant?

the xfx psu i linked is 450 constant with a peak of 636w

if it helps i do not plan on crossfire since my board is only 16x and 4x so a waste of time i am guessing for now i will just stick with my 6670

I believe it is constant, but I could be wrong.

I myself have an XFX PSU, I can vouch for them as well as the OCZ. Just providing an alternative. :)

My god do you not know anything about PSU's!

Exactly, Cheap and PSU are not words that I like to hear used together lol :p Never skimp on the PSU! Cliched saying around here, but very true. That OCZ CoreExtreme is rubbish, avoid and get the XFX or the OCZ ZS mentioned above. XFX is the best though. Rebadged Seasonic and semi modular cabling. Will likely have a quieter fan as well.

Scary thing is, although that OCZ CoreExtreme aint the best, there are far, far worse PSUs out there. See EZcool, CIT etc etc for more details lol :D
