the psu in my antec case has blew so need a replacement, the problem im having is the 240v socket is on the same side as the mobo connectors and i cant find any psu like this.

What case do you have?

A lot of cases allow a PSU to be fitted with the fan down or up, this would mean the PSU socket at the rear will then be on the other side.

Is it really really important that the power cable socket is on the same side as the motherboard?

Also a budget and system spec is very useful to know.

the case is a antec Overture II, as far as i can see the only way to use a normal power supply is to cut bits off the inside of the case.

Dont think I ever seen a PSU with the power socket on the same side as the cabling.

Im sure OCUk dont sell any like that.

looking at the case, there looks like room to put a lead in the other side (a 90 degree angle kettle lead) with a small modification to the case (cut a hole, where I marked the piccy below with a hole in blue)

if your old PSU is a standard size then you can pretty much replace it with a standard PSU. Just a long shot suggestion.
