I have a 550W OCZ PSU.

i5 4670k. 8GB DDR3. 120GB SSD. Z87 Motherboard.

Currently have a 7850 graphics card.

Want to upgrade to a 280x, will my PSU have enough power?

You don't say which 550w OCZ but looking their psu's up on the database shows that even their worst 550w psu was capable of 450w on the 12v rails. That means that yes, you are good to go.
