Just had a problem went to turn the computer on, got nothing, well checked the extension lead nothing, it had tripped the electric out.
Did have a spare FSP350w that I use for testing purposes and that worked.
The PSU in question is an Antec Truepower 550w, which to be fair is getting on abit, bought it when it was the top PSU around. Is it likely that an Internal fuse has blown or is it the end of the road for it.
Thinking of replacing it with an OCZ 400w, system is [email protected], 4 gig DDR2, 3870x2 might change that for something lower power considered 5430 as this machine dont play games as such and dvd-rw.

Yeah I think so, gonna a corsair 400w silent power, thats all I need for this machine. thanks for your advice.

yeah your right, into the bin I think. still its done well its a few years old now, so had my monies worth.
Went for the 500v OCZ in the end, just incase my 4870x2 makes its way into this machine.

Well you could try another fuse, but don't be suprised if it blows as soon as it turns on. Seems a shame to bin it tho...
