Well basically just getting abit confused with all the PSU options at the moment, I see some at £30 with 750w and some at £50 with just 500w.

Will be building a new gaming rig sooon and just wanting to know what is a good/big enough PSU to use

Quality is the most important factors. Some PSU's are made of cheap components and if they fail will take the rest of your system with it. The better PSU's will not do this, if they fail, which is uncommon.

The way to get a good PSU is by the brand. Brands such as; Antec, Coolermaster, OCZ, Lepa, silverstone, corsair, Be quiet and XFX are good PSU makes. Try and stick to them if you can.

The Wattage you need depends on your system, what are the rest of your components?

Most systems will need 500W-600W PSU [With a single GPU].

Cheap tat followed by a decent branded price. The cheap won't be able to provide anywhere near it's rated capacity while the more expensive will.

That rather depends on the components you are using but 500W is usually good enough for a single graphics card system and 750W for a double graphics card system.

But don't buy that cheap rubbish as they won't supply the power as cleanly as a more expensive proper brand PSU.
