I'm talking about the original REAL OUTTA SIGHT psychedelic music that goes from Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead right thru the years to Wooden Shjips and Monster Magnet! No 'psych/trance' stuff pls
My favourite psychedelic bands include: JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, GRATEFUL DEAD, QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE, EARLY PINK FLOYD, THE 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS, ROKY ERICKSON, MOBY GRAPE, LOVIN' SPOONFUL, BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING CO., ATOMIC ROOSTER, GREAG SAGE, MAZZY STAR, ERIC STUMPO'S PLAN 9, YARD TRAUMA, MONSTER MAGNET, ATOMIC BITCHWAX, AXIOM FUNK, FUNKADELIC, PARLIAMENT, SLEEP, WOODEN SHJIPS, PSYCHEDELIC WITCHCRAFT, BLUE PILLS, GINGER, DOLLSQUAD, etc. etc.

Of course, how can we not include Daevid Allen (RIP) and Gong!!! Hmmmmmmm, Ozric Tentacles have never been my cuppa tea actually....they use too much cold electronica for my liking....just like The Orb, too much electronica. Psychedelic music is NOT electronic music, even if there's a lot of electricity in psych music (e.g. Frank Marino & the Mahogany Rush, etc.); too many cold synths and moogs just kill the flare in real psychedelic music
