PTFE tape or not ?

Guys ,

Putting my first W/C rigg together .

Should i put PTFE tape in around all my Barb threads , rad , cpu and gfx block before i screw them in ?

Yes, unless they have o-rings to seal the threads instead.

Whoops sorry , O rings are all fitted .

It they are all brand new, the o-rings will do on their own.

O-rings can perish over time and should ideally be replaced each time you refit them.
When I am re-using barbs I use PTFE with the o-rings as I haven't found a source of replacement o-rings to fit.

I've used those compression type fittings throughout, without PTFE tape and haven't had a leak yet. They are quite tough to tighten up so I would have struggled with PTFE anyway.

Mind you they all have an O ring at the base.

aye, just o-rings seem to be working ok on my setup.

I've got PTFE and O-rings, better safe than sorry i say
