Does anyone use PTM7950?
Is it as good as it seems, is it worth the price?

Struggling to find a good place to buy it. I hear you have to be careful that what you're buying is actually PTM7950 and not something more generic. Any tips on how to know I'm buying the genuine article?

I put it on my laptop as it was getting a bit toasty. It's definitely good, but I can't help thinking the difference if I'd just used MX4 wouldn't have been too far off. It's only been a few months though, so I'm guessing the real benefit may be seen when it doesn't need changing in a year.

I thought it was a bit of a faff applying it though! Much easier with the paste, or even liquid metal tbh.

Bought mine from the far east seems genuine, got a 160x80cm sheet for less than £20, had previously repasted my 3070 three times was fine for a week then pump out and temps went crap again. There doesn't appear to be any retailers in the uk that stock it and all the market places that have it are using the same pictures from the far east so take a guess where they are getting it.

Search for Thermalright Helios, available from UK retailers.

It's a PTM rebrand.

As above it's as good as decent branded thermal paste but has great longevity. I wouldn't use anything else on a GPU or bare die now as it's a do it once and forget about it job.

For a normal CPU with an air cooler or even water cooled , I would just use paste.

Yeah, that makes sense. I just wish there was a reputable place to buy it from (at a reasonable price) so I could try it.
