Pub / Bar for Date

Any good recommendation for a Bar/Pub for a Date?

I live close to Hampstead on the Northern Line and she lives near Shepard's Bush on the Central Line.

One of my friends is recommending to me the Roadhouse in Covent garden.

I've never been and am worried about queuing to get in etc... very unsexy waiting around outside in the cold and rain.

It may be the case that i do just take her to the Road House. It's open until 3am.
