Hi folks,

Need a bit of help, organising a pub quiz for Friday night for part of my swimming club. About half-way through the questions and getting a little stuck for interesting questions that encompass both ones for younger kids through to adults (and those in between obviously!)

Was wondering if anyone seeing this could post maybe just 1 question and answer each, whether this be a trivia, political, news, sport, anagram, name the year, logic puzzle, maths puzzle, business etc etc. Would really help with the variety of my quiz.

All suggestions very much appreciated :)

Tom

I knew what you meant, i was just being a **** :p

:D

but you are technically correct and in a pub quiz some smart arse will pull you up on it so it is best phrased as the "metric equivalent of a mile"

I'm probably best offering a political one, so here goes.

Q: Who is the only British Prime Minister to ever have been successfully assassinated?
A: Spencer Perceval.

how do you unsuccessfully assassinate someone ? :p

You try and fail I guess!

I think there's been a few attempts on various PM's (I can't think why!) and King's and Queen's lives and I was trying to avoid a loop-hole allowing any smart-arses who put down one of those. :p

aren't they failed assassination attempts rather than unsuccessful assassinations ? ;)

j/k but if you've ever been to a pub quiz you will know what a bunch of arses they are when it comes to arguing the finer point of the wording of a question
