How well would PUBG run on an i3 4th generation with a 750ti at 720p?

Similarly would a Q6600 with a 1050ti be a smoother experience?

I think you'd struggle to get a smooth gaming experience, but it might be playable with low settings at that resolution. It's not a well optimised game so older hardware like that isn't ideal. It's the cpu that would worry me there.

1050ti @ 720p would be fine. i used a 1050 for a while @ 1080p everything on low and the ti is faster double the ram and 720p is a lot less res.

however i'd push for a 1060 3gb to play it with very good settings at 720p

Can't speak for PUBG specifically, but unless the Q6600 is clocked to the max, I'd go for the I3, it will have a higher clock speed, improved IPC and faster memory. I3 + 1050Ti Possible?

I wouldn't expect amazing frames or high settings but I know people running on similar setups at an OK level. As others have said, give it a try.

Attempting to run PUBG on:
i7 920 @ 3.4Ghz
12Gb DDR3 @1600Mhz
Strix 1050Ti @ stock
7200rpm HDD

And I get approx average 45fps @ 1080p, 85% Screen scale, all on Low settings bar View distance on Ultra and textures on Medium.

It looks feels like ass, unfortunately.

I wouldn't bother trying with a Q6600 personally.

the big thinks that impact performance is shadows, effects and resolution.

he's playing at 720p which is quite a lot less than 1080p. so he should be fine i imagine.

the game looks like ass unless you have everything bar post processing on ultra. it's just the game has next to zero optimisation at the moment.

I would say buy it, stick all graphics on low and if it doesn't meet you standard of graphical fidelity or/and performance, get a refund through Steam, as long as you've not exceeded 2 hours you will get refunded.

Nothing to loose

Then your not play at 1080p. 85% of 1920*1080 is what 1600*900?
