Hi all,
We have a couple of old'ish computers that we want to put into our Library at work as a public access research computer. They'd be stand alone computers running off Ubuntu (or similar). Could anyone please direct me or advise on how best to setup a Linux OS to basically allow users to browse the web in a locked down web browser, that restarts itself if left idle. - nothing more needed.
I've looked at Porteus Kiosk which pretty much does exactly what I want apart from letting me install Sophos easily which is a prerequisite. You can set the browser to restart afresh after a set amount of idle time which is great for a public environment as people always leave themselves logged in.
Relatively new to the Ubuntu side of things so any help would be much appreciated.
