"Publically" or "publicly"?

I can't seem to find consensus on this on-line :confused:.

Just reviewing my CV and I've used "publically", but having Googled it there are some people saying that's a no-longer-used UK-English spelling, whereas other people say that "publicly" is exclusive to US-English.

Just interested in what OcUKers would use. Killer thread I know!

Note that the spelling is publicly, not -ally.

While the former seems more logical prima facie, I think most houses would see it as a mistake. There are a great many spelling foibles like this and, sometimes, both or all versions are correct, although whether they are or not occasionally depends on what manual of style the people you are writing for adhere to. All off the top of my head.
