I've just reloaded my Gmail tab and it looks the same to me?

Yeah. Both Gmail and Messenger app icons on my phone appear to have had the rainbow treatment.
Diversity is our strength.

Tbh it's just been coloured-up. Hard to tell if it's meant to be a 'rainbow' or not.
And for the record, it doesn't bother me one way or the other!

Doesn't look rainbow to me. I thought they were just the Google brand colours?
Same for me, on desktop at least. Not checked my phone.
That's not the rainbow treatment, google have used those colours for years - just look at the chrome icon. Or the google logo.
Old logo looks better imho.
