PUK code to blocked sim?

I need a PUK code but how can it be sent to the phones who's sim is blocked(i.e the sim needing the PUK code). Can you send the code to another sim?

Last time i needed a PUK code, i rang up and got it over the phone, this was years ago on an old Nokia 3310.

You can usually get it generated on the network operators website.

For EE & Voda it's under your "My Vodafone / My EE" account system. You can always do it via calling up your operator but assuming you have an online account, this will be a lot quicker.
