Pull facebook news feed from your account into a website?

Hi all,

I've never done any development involving facebook or their SDK before, I just wanted to check if anyone knew if this is possible with the facebook graph API before I waste my time. I searched around but I couldn't find anything about doing this.

The client for a site I'm making wants the last 5 status updates ("News Feed -> What's on your mind?") from their acccount (not the users' account) displayed on the website.

Most of the SDK seems to be geared to getting the users information (who is browsing) embedded in your site rather than just displaying the information from a single account to everyone.

Hope that makes sense, any ideas? Thanks.

Doesnt Facebook provide an RSS feed of your updates? You could grab that?

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it looks like they've removed the RSS feeds for status updates. Pretty dissapointing I thought this would have been a simple 2 minute job with their API.

You can get status updates (JSON) using Facebook's Graph API - http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/user

You need to make a facebook app and request the read_stream extended permission. See http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/stream
