Hi all,

I've rubbed my pork shoulder joint, popped in the slow cooker on a bed of onions and some potatoes, poured in some maple marinade. My problem with my slow cooker is that everything comes out very wet, yes incredibly moist but nothing charrs which I imagine is normal. I plan to seperate the pork and pan fry it very quickly in some of the juice left in the slow cooker, am I the only one who does this?

Try putting it in the oven for a few minutes on the highest it will go once it's cooked ?

Pulled pork shouldn't be cooked in a slow cooker. Ideal a hot smoker, failing that a charcoal barbecue or simply a very low oven for as long as possible.
