Another question, what is the "Boston butt" known as here? I've seen it referred to as

Pork shoulder blade roast bone in
Pork shoulder bone in
Pork hand and spring

From the American cuts diagram I thought it might be the blade shoulder

But looking at the UK cuts diagram is it actually the hand and spring with bone in?

In the end I went with the blade shoulder cut with skin removed you can see in the top image, I believe this is a true Boston Butt. So UK cut wise it's the spare rib and blade as one piece with the blade bone still in.
 
Well got half a shoulder at weekend, rubbed some spices over it left for 12 hours. Stuck some onions in the bottom of the multi cooker and put the meat ontop, added a can of scrumpy and put some brown sugar over the top of the meat, cooked for 8 hours.

Its was lovely. Multi cooker is my favourite new kitchen toy.
