hi guys can anyone advise me on my troubles i have f2s at £46.99 per month on the 2mb connection i can only get around 1mb as i am on the outer limit of the exchange . so i am wasting money , i cant afford to waste that amount for a poor return so i was thinking of going with talk talk and get the phone and broad band for approx £29 but they use llu and i will loose the bt end . my son is on line playing games a few dloads etc and i am afraid to make the wrong move , any advise please.
ps iv a static ip address and do tt give a dynamic one ?

Avoid CPW if you can. Pay a bit extra (still less than f2s) and go for a better ADSL supplier such as an Entanet reseller.

I don't know how on earth f2s are getting away with charging you that much. Perhaps just ring them up and tell them that for your 1mbit line you could get it from elsewhere for cheaper so they can either put you on a reasonable price package or give you your MAC code there and then.

Your line being put onto LLU shouldn't affect the voice part of things - you'll still have BT landline (this is true for CPW too afaik). The type of LLU where it fully unbundled your line (e.g. Internet AND voice) isn't really used that much for residential ISPs anymore.

TT's LLU is pretty much all fully unbundled...

Either way, you don't want to touch TalkTalk - they're awful, it's a long contract term, did I mention it's awful :p

hi guys i have checked my local exchange and o2/be are going live next month would they be a good isp to use ?

from what i've seen around here that would be a decent choice.

as mentioned give f2s a call, that seems a very steep price.
